One of my builder clients called me today to report a claim.
One of his employees was working from a ladder with tools attached to his belt. He reached for his hammer, but it slipped straight out of his hand, bounced off the concrete, flew over the neighbour’s fence and smashed their window.
Fortunately, because we had taken the time to discuss his business properly at renewal, we had already made sure cover was in place for incidents exactly like this.
Insurance isn’t just about finding the cheapest premium. It’s about understanding how a business operates and making sure there are no nasty surprises when something unexpected happens.
