Cardless ATMs are banking machines that allow customers to withdraw cash without using a debit or credit card. Instead, customers can use their smartphone or another form of mobile device to initiate the transaction. This type of ATM is also sometimes referred to as a “mobile phone ATM.”

How do cardless ATMs work?

Cardless ATMs work by using near-field communication (NFC) technology. This allows customers to simply hold their mobile device up to the ATM in order to initiate a transaction. Customers will first need to download their bank’s mobile app and create an account. Once they have done this, they can link their debit or credit card to the app.

When they are ready to use a cardless ATM, customers will open their mobile app and enter the amount of cash they wish to withdraw. They will then hold their phone up to the ATM and wait for the transaction to be processed. The money will be dispensed from the ATM and will be deposited into the customer’s account.

Cardless ATMs are becoming more popular as they offer a number of advantages over traditional ATMs. For one, they are much more convenient as customers no longer have to carry around their debit or credit cards. They also offer an extra layer of security as customers’ personal information is not stored on the ATM.
